Questions about Yoga

Our classes are meant for practitioners of all levels, including folks who are brand new to yoga. Everyone can expect to build strength and sweat!

To prepare for class, wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in, bring a water bottle, mat, and towel. If you don’t have a mat, we have them available to rent for $6.

When you come in for class, please feel free to let the teacher know if you have any concerns or questions before class starts! They will be able to offer variations, and tips for class.

It will be warm, you will sweat, build strength and leave feeling great!
General questions about Monarch

Our studios have ample space for you to store your belongings, as well as bathrooms, changing rooms, and a water bottle filling station.

Yes! You can rent a yoga mat for $6. Rental includes a full-length mat towel. We also have Manduka mats and towels for sale.

Doors open 15 minutes before class starts. Thank you for giving our staff time to prep the space!

We aim to start our classes on time. Studios door lock when class begins. If you are running late, we are always happy to help you reschedule your class!

Our heated classes are heated using infrared panels to 95-105°F.
Our Slow Flow classes are kept at a lower ambient temperature, usually around 80-85°F.

Yes! We welcome students of all ages. Any students under the age of 18 will need to have a guardian set up their account & sign a waiver on their behalf. We recommend using your discretion when choosing classes.

No, we do not. We ask that kids stay at home when you're coming to practice with us (unless they will also be taking class). We do not have on-site child care and cannot allow kids to be in the lobby unattended.

If you must bring your phone into the studio space, we ask that it is on silent and away during class. If you need to check your phone, please step into the lobby so as to not disturb your fellow students.
Phone use is always allowed in the studio for medical conditions & as a medical device.
If you would like to use your phone to record your practice, you are welcome to do so. Please be mindful of where you set up your phone and ensure that you are not recording other students during class, unless you have their consent to be in the video.
Kensington Studio FAQs

Our studio is located on the first floor of 171 W Berks Street. Please enter through the lobby doors on Berks Street.

If you are attending a Roof Deck class, please enter through the Mascher Street entrance. One of our team members will meet you at the door.

There is 2-hour and untimed street parking available near the studio.

Yes! We have bike racks located directly in front of the studio on Berks Street.

Class will be moved indoors to our studio. You will be notified via email two hours before the start of class.
Northern Liberties Studio FAQs

Our Northern Liberties studio is located on the second floor of 709 N 2nd Street. Please enter through the first floor lobby using the key pad.

The access code will be sent to you via email upon your first reservation at the Northern Liberties studio. Please save this email or make a note of the code! If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder.

There is 3-hour and 2-hour street parking available near the studio.

The best way to book a class is to download the Monarch Yoga App from the App Store.
If Apps are not for you, take a look at our class schedule here to find a class and time that works for you! From there, press Reserve and follow the prompts to set up an account and proceed to check out.

You will get an email from us if you are off the waitlist. You can also check your status on the Monarch Yoga App.
