Roof Deck Yoga in Philadelphia: Your Guide to Practicing Above the City

Fresh air, skyline views, and the best seat in the city — literally. There's a specific kind of magic to rolling out your mat under the open sky instead of a studio ceiling. The breeze moving through your practice, the city humming below you, the way a sunset sneaks into your final savasana — roof deck yoga in Philadelphia is one of our favorite ways to move, and this summer we've got more rooftop options than ever. Here's everywhere you can find us above the city.

Monarch Kensington Roof Deck (171 W. Berks St)

Our home base rooftop hosts three weekly classes:

- Monday, 7:00 AM — start your week with a sunrise flow before the city wakes up

- Tuesday, 7:00 AM — back at it, same golden light, same good energy

- Thursday, 7:15 PM — an evening flow as the sky starts to shift into dusk

Free Rooftop Meditation at Monarch Kensington

Once a month, we open the Kensington roof deck for a completely free guided meditation — no mat skills required, just show up and breathe. Our next session is Sunday, August 16, at 171 W. Berks St.

Roof Deck Flow at The Luxe

Every Monday at 6:30 PM, we bring roof deck yoga to The Luxe for an evening flow with a different backdrop and the same intentional sequencing you'd get in one of our studios.

Rooftop Yoga at the Free Library of Philadelphia

We're taking the practice somewhere iconic this summer: the rooftop terrace at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Join us Thursday, August 13 and Thursday, September 3, both from 7:00–8:00 PM, for an evening flow with one of the city's best views as your backdrop.

$5 Flow at Lotus Wellness Living

Looking for something low-key and low-cost? Every Tuesday at 6:30 PM, we host a $5 flow at Lotus Wellness Living — an easy, accessible way to try a Monarch class without the roof deck views (but with all the good energy).

Ready to practice above the city?

Roof deck season is short, and we intend to make the most of it. Whether it's a sunrise flow at Kensington, a rooftop meditation, or an evening class at the Free Library, there's a way to get outside and onto a mat with us almost every day of the week this summer.
